If it is possible to transform the world through design, IED Innovation Lab is sure that we must start with one of the key human experiences: food.
Future Food Lab is born hungry to respond to the major challenges of contemporary food and also to reinterpret food and culinary models by using the creative processes of design. Major issues and more playful and original proposals will be tackled in this innovation laboratory, one of the six that make up the IED Innovation Lab.
It is an ecosystem that has been devised in IED Madrid with the mission of exploring and also transforming people’s relationship with food, throughout the food value chain, by adopting a multidisciplinary, sustainable and human-centred approach for growing, preparing, serving and consuming food.
The Future Food Lab of IED Madrid already has its first international partner, the Future Food Institute, a body with which a framework partnership agreement was signed yesterday in order to establish the foundations for future food-related projects.
The presentation and signing of the agreement between the two institutions was introduced by the Italian ambassador in Spain, Stefano Sannino, and enjoyed the participation of Sara Roversi from the Italian Future Food Institute, Dario Assante from IED Madrid and Nacho Martín from IED Innovation Lab.
This event also enjoyed a touch of flavour thanks to of the proposals offered by national and international producers that stand out either for their products – products of the future – or for their commitment to sustainable value in the food industry.
