Design for 360º filming: collaboration with the Fab Lab to record Campfire Creepers

Experiencing the mythical scene from Psycho from a viewpoint inside the shower would have been different, as would have been waiting for the girl from The Exorcist sitting at the end of the stairs. Nothing is the same when you experience being so close you can have a 360º view.

That is just what Campfire Creepers allows. It is a horror production filmed in 360º degrees, directed by Alexandre Aja and starring the actor Robert Englund, much better known as Freddy Krueger.

Collaboration by Future Lighthouse with the Fab Lab, one of the laboratories of IED Innovation Lab, was essential to producing this series. The producer was faced with a major problem related to filming the images that made it necessary to build a proprietary camera rig to achieve perfect stereoscopy.

Thanks to the design, prototyping and 3D printing process by the professionals at the Fab Lab, it was possible to carry out the filming with an image quality standard able to transport us directly to the campfire where we may become fully immersed in the horror stories there.
